Guidelines for the use of Social Media – National Institute of Genetics

The National Institute of Genetics (herein “NIG”) mostly respects free speech activities and communication activities that members of the Institute (including faculty, staff, and students in the Department of Genetics, School of Life Science of the University) conduct on their individual responsibilities and seeks to protect the articulators. On the other hand, such communication activities conducted by members of the Institute on their individual responsibilities do not represent official statements or views of the Institute as an organization. Please understand that comments regarding the communication activities conducted on an individual’s responsibility are to be sent to the articulator through the specific communication activity or service. Note that NIG takes appropriate actions as the Institute, if there exists significant breaches of laws or ordinances, even the communication activities are conducted on an individual’s responsibility.
