Tatsuya Nishino, Assistant Professor of Molecular Genetics Laboratory, received a Young Scientist Award at the 12th annual meeting of the Protein Science Society of Japan held in Nagoya, Japan on June 22nd. The prize is given to young scientist whose presentation is of high quality. The title of the presentation was ‘Structure and function of centromeric histone-fold complex, CENP-TWSX’ Division of Molecular Genetics, Fukagawa Laboratory

Mr. Akira Tanave received an award for Excellent Young Scientist in the Annual Meeting of the Japanese Association for Laboratory Animal Science

NT20120604Mr. Akira Tanave (Mouse Genomics Resource Laboratory), Ph.D. student in the Department of Genetics, SOKENDAI, received an award for Excellent Young Scientist in the Annual Meeting of the Japanese Association for Laboratory Animal Science, which was held in May 24-26, 2012 in Beppu, Oita. He also received a travel award and attended “14th Annual Meeting of the International Behavioural and Neural Genetics Society” which was held in May 15-19, 2012 in Boulder, Cololado. In the meeting, he did oral presentation as an awardee. The title of his presentation was “Genetic and molecular analysis of high anxiety-like behaviors in wild-derived mouse strains”.
