It was simply magical, being surrounded by brilliant minds, and people who really love to do what they are doing in NIG. My entire family background is in business, even I had the chance to intern in Stanford about management back in 2022.

My internship here in NIG has been amazing.

As for now, I am able to understand not just how to do the experiments, but the reasons, hardships, life, wisdom, and triumphs of being a scientist. Especially, it changed my perspective towards genetic sciences. I used to imagine and try to grasp how it really works, since I have not yet been able to do these complex experiments. However, doing all of this research with Nonomura-sensei and Tsuda-sensei is the best research experience that I have ever had in my life!

During my stay, I met Huong, Harsha, and Marie, very bright researchers that made the laboratory workplace to feel like home. I still remember my departure day from NIG, after Tsuda-Sensei helped me in the post office, he drove me back to NIG and when I arrived in the lab for the final time, my lab members gave me the most precious gift they could think of!

Mishima itself is a beautiful city, with lots of other cities to see, such as Atami, Odawara, and the iconic city of Tokyo. And the best part is that I had the great chance to travel with my intern friends, who I might consider some of the greatest friends that I have made in my life.

Overall, my internship in NIG has been a million times better than what I initially prepared for, despite my already-high expectations. It was truly a miracle to be accepted to this program.
