Grateful to NIG for providing such an amazing internship opportunity, people here are all very kind-hearted.

Regarding my work in the laboratory, Miyagishima-sensei and Fujiwara-sensei have always been wholeheartedly supportive, helping me with my experimental tasks. Other lab members are also willing to offer additional assistance, and they also double as great chefs, hosting unforgettable Takoyaki and Hiroshimayaki parties that I will cherish forever.

During my internship, I had the chance to accompany lab members to Akita Prefecture for sampling, where I learned the entire process, from exploration, positioning, environmental measurement, and photo documentation, to collecting the sample. On our way back, we stopped by Lake Tazawa, Japan's deepest lake, to appreciate the scenery and skip stones. At that moment, I felt that all the lab members were like a big family, driven by a shared passion for scientific breakthroughs and working together to turn their dreams into reality for the betterment of the scientific community.

Beyond the lab, our daily life involved interns from various parts of the world gathering almost every evening to chat about different topics, learn different languages, share snacks from our home countries, and even dance Mexican dances while enjoying guacamole. We also explored Mishima, Tokyo, and Ito and climbed Mt. Fuji together. The friendships we formed during these travels, where we supported and helped each other, are the most unforgettable and cherished memories.

Lastly, I must say that Miyagishima-sensei is the coolest professor in the world, and his lab is composed of the smartest and most adorable members. Want to know why? Then join NIG, and you'll have the chance to meet the professor yourself!
