Evaluation of English language ability

All lectures in the Genetics Program at the School of Advanced Sciences, SOKENDAI (The Graduate University for Advanced Studies) are conducted in English. For General Admission, applicants’ English proficiency will be evaluated based on the results of one of the following tests: TOEFL iBT, TOEIC® Listening & Reading Test (TOEIC-IP is not accepted), or IELTS (Academic Module).

Please note that there will be no English examination on the day of the entrance examination; only an essay test will be administered.

Applicants are required to submit their English test scores at the time of application.
