For as long as I can remember, Japan has been a country well known for order, respect, and beauty, and visiting Japan has been at the top of my wish list for years. Undoubtedly very kind and hard-working people and a special and beautiful combination of Japanese nature and modernity were an excessive influence on me.

I would have been lying if I said I was not on cloud nine when I received the acceptance email. At last, I was going to see the country and meet the people who have always been my role models and had the best impact on me from miles away. In addition, I was going to work in one of the most prestigious scientific centers with the most capable professors and staff, also meet students like myself from around the world, and get acquainted with delightful cultures of other countries.

I have been accepted in the Sato sensei lab which works on plant genetics scientific projects and I have been participating in several projects on wild Oryza during these last six weeks. I have to say that after this period I am pretty sure I want to continue my profession in this field.

I must say that holding such an internship requires a lot of work, perseverance, and effort, and NIG held this course in the best way and brought a unique and memorable experience to all of us. And along with a valuable and practical scientific experience, they provided us with the best entertainment and leisure time.

Most definitely visiting again and working professionally with this institute in the future is on my to-do list. I recommend this special and unique internship to anyone interested in learning science and gaining privileged scientific experience in the best conditions, along with relaxation and enjoying the most breathtaking scenery.

And finally, I have to appreciate and thank all the NIG staff for introducing us to this phenomenal world, for seeing everyone as one world, for bringing us all together regardless of gender or nationality, and honestly accompanying us in all stages.

ありがとう ございます
