Our prefecture, Shizuoka is situated near the center of the Japanese archipelago, making it an ideal location for working and for experiencing Japanese life and culture. There is a bullet train (Shinkansen) station in Mishima, which makes for easy access to the Tokyo metropolis (Tokyo Station 50 minutes) or international port town, Yokohama (Shin-Yokohama 40 minutes).
