Japanese Language Study
Below is information on Japanese language courses operated by local organizations outside NIG.

When attending Japanese language classes, please ensure that your class schedule does not conflict with your official working hours at NIG. (If you wish to take classes during working hours, please make sure to use your paid leave appropriately.)
All costs, including lesson fees, textbook costs, and transportation expenses, must be paid by the participant. NIG does not cover these costs.
(1) Mishima Nihongo Circle
- Class style: Private lessons (one-to-one)
- Venue:
(1) Mishima Shimin Katsudo Center: Mon-Sun 9:00-21:00
(Mishima Honcho Tower 4F, 3-29 Honcho, Mishima-shi)
(2) Mishima Shimin Shougai Gakushu Center: Sun 9:00-12:00
(Mishima City Library 5F, 1-8-38 Omiya-cho, Mishima-shi) - Day and time: About one hour per lesson.
The schedule will be arranged according to the availability of both the teacher and the student. - Lesson fee: 5,000 yen for 10 hours (10 lessons)
- Target participants: Foreign residents of Mishima City or neighboring cities

- How to apply:
Please visit the Mishima City Foreign Affairs Division (Mishima City Office Chuo-cho Annex 2F, 5-5 Chuo-cho, Mishima-shi) during office hours (8:30-17:15 on weekdays) and fill out the application form. No reservation is required.
The circle coordinator will contact you to discuss your lesson schedule and learning plan.
(2) Numazu Association for International Communications and Exchanges (NICE).
- Class style: Group lessons tailored to individual levels
- Venue: Numazu City Library 4th floor
(9-1 Sanmaibashi-cho, Numazu-shi) - Day and time: About 40 lessons per year / Saturdays (13:30-15:00)
You can join at any time of the year.
(The yearly schedule is available in the flyer.) - Lesson fee: Free of charge
- Textbook: Minna no Nihongo Shokyu I (Elementary Level 1)
You can borrow a textbook for your first or trial lesson. Please purchase your own copy if you decide to continue attending regularly. - Target participants: Foreign residents of Numazu City or neighboring cities

- How to apply:
No reservation or application is needed. You can come directly to the venue on a lesson day. After a level check, you will be placed in a group suitable for your level.
