Katsuhiko Minami, a former SOKENDAI student and postdoctoral researcher in the Genome Dynamics Laboratory (Maeshima Lab) and currently a postdoctoral fellow at Harvard University, received a Human Frontier Science Program (HFSP) Long-Term Fellowship.
The HFSP Long-Term Fellowships support applicants with a degree in the life sciences to obtain training in a new area of research in an outstanding laboratory of their choice in another country.
The HFSP is an international project, initiated at the Venice Economic Summit (G7) in June 1987, following a proposal by Prime Minister Nakasone of Japan. It promotes innovative,cutting-edge research at the frontiers of the life sciences through international collaboration in the spirit of science without borders and for the benefit of humankind
