A lot of English presentation courses places a great amount of effort on learning to pronounce English as a native speaker does. The aim of this course, however, is to help you create presentations that are comprehensible to all scientists world wide, and at the same time rich in individuality. In this unit we will examine specific grammar and sentence formation habits that frequently make scientific presentations very difficult to understand. We will introduce a variety of effective speaking techniques to help you achieve maximum audience comprehension even without perfect pronunciation. Starting from examples of poorly written short speeches, you will practice identifying the problem points, and apply the techniques to create more comprehensible versions of the speeches.
