Mental Health Care
National Institute of Genetics offers counseling services (available in Japanese or English) on a regular basis.
Information on how to make an appointment and further details is notified by email within the Institute every month.
If you are concerned about any of the following, please feel free to talk to a counselor.
- Physical problems (lack of energy, tiredness, difficulty in sleeping, loss of appetite, etc.)
- Family problems (sick family member, little conversation, etc.)
- Research problems, thesis problems (vague anxiety, etc.)
Counselors can also help you if there is someone around you who has a problem and you are wondering how to handle it.
You may be apprehensive about receiving counseling, but please do not hesitate to use the services.

Career, self-introduction :
I was responsible for psychological tests and psychotherapy in the Kansai and Kyushu medical institutions and Child Consultation Center.
In1997 I was requested to go to public schools as a school counselor for survey and research project by the former Ministry of Education.
Currently, I work as a Shizuoka Prefecture school counselor, a school counselor supervisor, a Shizuoka University counselor for international students , a Tokoha University lecturer, a JFA ( Japan Football Association ) Academy Fukushima counselor .
Fields of interest ：
I am focus on stress management, anger management, and social skills training.
I was born in Tokushima. One of my hobbies is Awa dance .

Career, self-introduction :
I’ve supported psychological problems of children, adolescents and parents. I’ve mainly studied and supported those who have interpersonal fear (anxiety tension). I’ve worked as a school counselor, from junior high school to universities. Also, I have my private counseling office. I’ve supervised many counselors at variety of public consulting organizations. I’ve published some books on my clinical practice (in Japanese)
