Apr. 27, 2012 Updated

Rice Genetic Resource Committee (RGRC) (funded by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology in Japan) has been established in the National Institute of Genetics since 2002. Simultaneously, meetings of the RGRC have been held by our laboratory. To maintain rice genetic resources, the RGRC organizes and entrusts tasks to universities and institutes in Japan. Our laboratory is a centre of the project, and Kyushu University is a subcentre. The National Bio-Resource Progect (NBRP) will promote the collection, maintenance, and delivery of rice resources, and consolidate databases. Our laboratory has accessed information about and delivered seeds of enhancer-trap lines of rice since 2002 (Oryzabase: Rice Development Anatomy or Rice Development ).

Simaltaneously, Rice Genetic Resource Committee has been held by our lab.
