６．履修条件、受講方法：
遺伝学専攻の学生受け入れ趣旨に合致した目標をもって、学則で定められた条件内で，主任指導教員と学生との話し合いによって決定する。実際の実験演習の指導には，主任指導教員以外の教員も加わることがある。また、総合研究大学院大学に、生命科学研究科共通専門科目のひとつである生命科学実験演習I-VAとI-VBの履修届を出しておく必要がある。７．授業内容の概要：
学生の科学研究能力の向上につながると思われるものを主任指導教員と学生との話し合いによって決定する。実験演習内容は、博士論文の内容につながる新しい発見を有するものでなければならない。また、生命科学プログレスI-VA, I-VBからのフィードバックを受けるものであり、最終的に学位論文として完成し得るものでなければならない。８．授業の達成目標：
学生の現在の科学研究能力をもとに、主任指導教員と学生との話し合いによって決定する。最終的に学位論文を仕上げるとともに、自立して研究活動を行う能力を修得する。
９．授業計画：博士論文提出にむけた各学年における研究の実験演習計画を、各主任指導教員が設定する。

博士論文提出にむけた各学年における研究に必要なものを、各主任指導教員が選択する。11．単位修得要件と成績評価基準：
博士論文提出にむけた各学年における研究が、あらかじめ主任指導教員と学生との話し合いによって決定した達成目標に到達したと主任指導教員が判断すれば達成度合いにより「A,B,C,D」で判定し、成績はA,B,Cの場合は半期で2単位、通年で４単位を取得できる。12．その他のコメント：実験演習 I-VA, I-VBは第１学年?第５学年のそれぞれ夏学期および冬学期で履修する。

６．Prerequisites and Styles：
To be determined via discussion between each academic supervisor and student, by considering framework of admission policy of Department of Genetics and conditions defined by University Rules. To obtain credits for Life Science Experiments, students should submit Application for Course Registration to SOKENDAI. The course title for this lecture is [Life Science Experiments I-VA and I-VB].７．Contents:
Content of research, that is expected to enhance scientific research ability of student, will be determined via discussion between each academic supervisor and student. It should be original, and should be connected to Ph.D. dissertation work. Content should also receive feedback from Life Science Progresses I-VA and I-VB, and should eventually develop to completion of Ph.D. dissertation.８．Course objectives:

To be determined via discussion between each academic supervisor and student, based on current scientific research ability of student. Final objectives should include completion of Ph.D. dissertation and to obtain ability to conduct research independently.
Each academic supervisor sets schedule for each year towards completing Ph.D. dissertation.10．Lecture materials and readings;
Each academic supervisor chooses materials for each year towards completing Ph.D. dissertation.11．Grades:
Requirement is that research towards completion of Ph.D. dissertation is conducted as plan. According to the attained level, their academic supervisor evaluate students as one of four grades (A, B, C, D) in each semester. Students get total of four credits, two credits for each semester when you obtain grades(A,B,C).12．Notes：Life Science Experiments I-VA and I-VB should be taken during D1 to D5, in summer semester and winter semester, respectively.
