Set 5: Impromptu Speech I In the question and answer portion of a presentation, and also in discussing our work conversationally with our peers, we often need to provide information and explanations impromptu with absolutely no preparation time.  This week will be the first of two opportunities this year to practice this valuable skill.  As the speech must be impromptu, the topic of the speeches will not be revealed until the time of the class.
