Topic 2: Developing a Storyline from Slides This week we begin to examine specific portions of presentations in detail. In this class we focus on the explanation of slides during a presentation, and learn how to construct a logical storyline building up from the transition from slide to slide. We focus especially on building logical and easy-to-follow bridges between slides and on providing introductions which properly prepare the audience the audience for the data they are about to be presented with. Students are shown slides from real scientific presentations and given the opportunity to rewrite and present the slide introductions.
