Topic 10: Describing Graphics for Maximum Understanding Throughout the course we have said that the audience needs to know what the main message is in order to properly focus their attention and process the information we give them. This week we extend that idea to presenting graphs and charts. Too many students present figures in their presentations and immediately begin explaining details. In this unit we practice strategies for improving audience comprehension so that our figures can function as effective tools and not pointless decorations.
